Working in the UK & I
In the UK and Ireland, our Tax teams work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment to manage every aspect of our clients’ tax affairs. Our clients include some of the world’s largest companies who we work with on issues like the tax impact of multi-billion-pound takeover deals, but also disruptor start-ups who we might advise on government incentives to encourage research and development. Increasingly, we find ourselves working with government on how to use tax as a lever to drive behaviour in society.
Working in Financial Services
Our Financial Services Tax teams also play a pivotal role in supporting our clients’ business agenda by helping them navigate the complex and swiftly changing demands of national and international tax legislation. They look to us to help create value, save money, and achieve sustainable outcomes.
Your key responsibilities
Client work will be very varied and includes technical research into areas of tax legislation, commercial research into new clients, attending and taking notes of client meetings and calls, as well as report writing.
Skills & attributes
You'll need to have great research and analytical skills to understand and stay on top of the law, a commercial mind-set and outstanding communication skills to build and maintain client relationships.
If you're based in England you will complete the CFAB qualification leading to a full qualification through ICAEW. In Scotland, you will complete your professional qualification through ICAS.
