Audit Manager John accumulated a wealth of experience across small, medium and large accountancy firms in London, gaining exposure to a range of corporate clients and FTSE100 companies. He has recently joined EY’s Newcastle where he plans to continue building his expertise.
Having grown up on a farm, I am not used to living in big cities. Therefore I feel EY Inverness offers a good balance between being able to work for a global company and after a short commute be able to live in my quiet house in the beautiful Highland Countryside.
I used to think I would never want to work for a Big 4 firm. I had this idea of being a small fish in a very big pond which didn’t really appeal to me. During my first meeting with EY, I learnt how different the reality was from the notion I had created in my head.
“My current role is fast paced and demanding. We look after a wide range of processes and are most employees’ first point of contact with HR. Our ability to provide high quality advice is vital in promoting the UK Talent Shared Service Centre as a model of exceptional client service. I enjoy working in a high performing team where everyone’s skills and opinions are valued.”
“I joined EY as an accountant as I thought it’d be a good thing to do. 12 years later and I’m still here.”
"I joined EY in Boston in 1995 after completing a graduate degree in tax in the US. I have worked in our Boston, Chicago and New York offices and also spent time in London as a US Tax Desk in 2003-2005. I’m now leading the UK International Tax Services practice at a very exciting time for the industry."
“An experienced Manager within the eDiscovery cluster at EY. I have a breadth of eDiscovery skills and knowledge developed from my initial associate role, through to my current role as a project manager. I currently manage a number of engagements throughout eDiscovery which span across a number of different sectors including financial services, pharmaceuticals and life sciences. I also have key involvement in a number of operational and people based initiatives to continue to develop the eDiscovery and wider Forensic Technology & Discovery Services team.”
"I joined EY in February 2013 and instantly found it to be a challenging and rewarding environment."
“I joined the firm as a graduate from university in September 2013."
"I have been with EY more than once over the past 20 years and each time I return it feels like coming home. This is because EY employees make the effort to look after each other."
